Does anyone know anything about notifications and when they're supposed to come around?
I read that they were supposed to come in April, but last year some people didn't get them until October-November.

I don't believe so--I think it's just recognition. But plenty of schools give big scholarships (the University of Texas and ASU give close to full rides) if you get the honor.
