a)momentum problem. m1v1 + m2v2 = (m1+m2)v3
m1 = 1000 v1 = 12 v2 = 0 and v3 = 8 = 8/1+5(0)
12000 = 8000 + 8m2
m2 =500
b) integral of velocity = 8/5(ln 1+5t)
c) derivative of velocity = -40/(t^2+10t+1)
d) the change in momentum = mv1-mv2=1500(8)-1500(8/11)
