I'm in 9th grade and just completed a SAT on Princeton Review's Inside the SAT & ACT 2003 Deluxe software. I scored 1400 (730 M 670 V).
I'm wondering though, since I've only taken the ACT before (26 overall) in 7th grade, is such a large score jump expected with little preparation or is this program probably much easy than the real thing?
[Math was expected but Verbal was high]

On average, people increase ~100 points per grade.
But nevertheless, I would be wary in trusting the practice scores of ANY tests except for real SATs (and even for those, old ones are a bit inaccurate).
