I am a soph scored a 109 on the AMC 10 test when I took it- it was the highest in my school and I even got a little pin. Unfortunately, a number of other kids in the school took the AMC 12 and made the cutoff to take the AIME, while I did not. Is my top score still a good thing to put on an RSI application or even a college application?

Sure. It's not wildly impressive, but it's good.

You can also do well on the AMC 12, and if you do better on that than your AMC 10, then put that down as your AMC score.
