I got this from the Princeton Review book:
"He said that she was better than I".
The answer was (E), nothing was wrong w/ the sentence. I thought it should be "me" and not "I".
Can someone explain plz?

Change it to:
"He said that she was better than I was."
That's better than:
"He said that she was better than me was."

"I" isn't the direct object of the verb "was"
thus it can't be me
or you could look at it:
I, he said that she was better.
(implied "it was I" that he said she was better)
