How much will a low sat score (1230) affect my chances of admission at Rice, Wash U Stl, U Maimi, UMKC ? I currently have an Act composite of 29 (retook in Oct, expecting higher). Would it have been better if i didn't even bother taking the SAT I? Im going to try to test as standby on Nov, but is there any way to pretend like the test was never taken?

If your ACT is better than your SAT, send in your ACT results.

Your SAT's more than perfect for the U. of Miami. But some of the others like WUSTL and Rice you will definitely have to raise your SAT score and ACT score esp. Rice.
