Hi. I would like to recive some advice on reaches/matches/safeties please...

My Stats:

SAT: 1320 (690m, 630v) --> This was from a Barron's Practice test, I'll definitively improve on the real thing. (expected 720-730m - 669-670v --1400--)

SAT IIs : Math IIc 760; Physics 780; Writing 700

Toefl: 600

GPA 3.6 (weighted) , 3.3 (unweighted very competitive high school in Ecuador)

Rank 25/101

IB diplomma candidate (Physics HL, History HL, Literature HL, Math Methods SL, Computer Science (6) SL, English SL) --> Good grades expected

Classic Guitar (two years, concerts given)
Cartoon Drawing (selling my own comics, working on group projects)
National English Speech Contest (7th), City English speech Contest (2nd)
National Physics Contest (results not yet anounced)
Model United Nations
Newspaper Editor; Jounalism
Art Design (at school, I designed our mascot and this years' christmas card -contest- )
Hockey (2 years) --Went into CanAm cup last year (I don't play it now)
Self Taught english (beyond my school's curriculum); Teaching myself German
80 hours community service (Teaching at poor schools)

Recommendations : Excellent, I'm among the brightest students in my class (bad gpa because of being a slacker lol), gifted IQ, 98-99%on local standarized tests (american ones seem to be weird fo me, I'm bad at tests though)

Essay: A very good one about learning things by yourself and using your knowledge to help others.

My top choices would be:

1.Amherst (way too much reach)
2. Williams
3. Swarthmore
4. Macalester
5. Grinnell

But I know they are all reaches (Not even thinking about Ivy league...)

Thank you!

You really shouldn't mention that your "latin american." It makes it seem like it SHOULD affect your admission into college (even if it does, it SHOULDNT)

Ok, but I think it gives you a better idea of me, It's a different image (Foreign, LA kid) than a WASP don't you think?

Anyway, I guess Colleges have different admission views on foreigners so...
