yea im a sophomore and i really want to do a self study AP course because my classes are rediculously(sp) easy...
i tried to talk to my guidance counselor(sp)(a 70 year old witch known for misinforming me) and she said that i cant do a self study unil i was a SENIOR.... then she gave me some bogus sheet about some stupid extended career study and laughed at me
i thought i could just take the damn AP test at the end of the year and thats that?
can someone PLEASE help me out here?

You can self-study for it. I say if they give you problems, talk to the principal. If he sides with the counselor, I'd see if I can take the test at a local college or high school.
I'm anticipating problems when I broach the subject to my guidance counselor, too. So that is what I will be doing.
