For this test, did you guys think time as a big factor? and what book has tests similar to the real thing?

yes. However, the ti 89 virtually eliminates the time problem.

Princeton Review's is similar.

i don't have 89.. will an 83 plus suffice or should i borrow an 89 from a friend and try to cram/learn the calc in 2 weeks? I' using barrons currently. how is that?

I got an 800 in IIC using the 83-plus. Get the programs that Barrons has in its review book; it helped me on three questions near the end that would have consumed a lot of my time. Basically, don't bother checking answers and you should be fine. Just be careful the first time.

k thanks. anyone else? Things like sat math, i generally run out of time as pathetic as that might seem. I'm not horrible at math.. I'm just really slow. I can do the hard stuff, just not quickly.

I have Princeton Reviews but it only has a 2 tests.
Will barrons be enough for me?

on a side note, how important is a graphing calculator on the 2c

knowing the math is a better substitute than a good calculator. I see no reason why you cant get an 800 with just a normal ti-83.

By Tennizpro06 (Tennizpro06) on Tuesday, October 21, 2003 - 06:38 pm: Edit

i'm sure i could with a ti-83. but i don't have 50 years to practice.. just trying to figure out what the most advantageous thing woiuld be. anyways, for those who've taken it before.. were there really CONICS are the test???

By Kingdvl (Kingdvl) on Tuesday, October 21, 2003 - 09:14 pm: Edit

One or two conics when I took em last month (most were kinda simple parabolas).
