It is unfamiliar/puzzled. There are a ton of words directly in the passage to support that answer, while few if any words support "dramatic and exciting." Don't jump to conclusions. Get based in the text...I'm sure your English teacher has told your class that before whenever someone makes an outlandish claim in discussions or papers. This is the reason that we use quotations in literary analysis.
