hmm I'd find my score but I can't sheel out 8 bucks.
Maybe my HS has it on the online transcipt service.
At least you did really well in math @_@
Man..now I'm scared...of the reading...

that's really odd, but for as long as you have a math or science focus rather than a liberal arts one, you should be okay.
I had two really high scores and two low ones when I took ACT. 31 in reading, 30 math, but 25 english, 24 science.

Jinhamasaki, Don't be scared of reading...
my reading score was not that surprising because I ran out of time and had to randomly guess about 15 questions. I was expecting very low score on reading...actually...

I have no idea how to study for the reading section...
test prep books like PR gives pretty good explanations for english section...but reading one wasn't that helpful to me...
What should I do to raise my reading score??
I'm a slow reader and english isn't my first language..
I should have taken SAT instead...not ACT...
Any helpful comments on studying for reading section?? plz~

I think taking AP English helped me in reading. I think Barron's guide for ACT was pretty good. Maybe you should try an AP english Literature /Language prep book, too.
The SAT is different in reading, they have the horrid analgoies >_<!

how do you get your ACT scores?
| By Drusba (Drusba) on Thursday, October 09, 2003 - 12:00 pm: Edit |
If you have a credit card and want to charge $8, you can get your score on-line at act.org. Otherwise wait and it will arrive in the mail within the next week.

hika how do u get similies in the subject box
| By Andrew123s (Andrew123s) on Monday, October 13, 2003 - 11:21 am: Edit |
Hikarikun: Remember that colleges only see the ACT scores you want them to see. If you do better and send the better composite score, they won't see the worse one.

Yeah I'd definately retake Hikarikun, especially if you're looking for competetive colleges.
I'm a math/science person who isn't especially good at english and literature (630 Verbal Score 1st time taking), and I got a decent score on reading (32). From what you said it looks like you went too slow. Pick up the pace and don't spend so much time on each of the questions and reading the essay. Skim the essay and trust your feelings when picking answers... you odn't have time to doubt.

Abz, u r right=)
I need to skim and trust my feelings...
