x^4 + x ^2 - 6 = 0

Can sum1 solve the equations tep by step so i can lrn this thanks

x^2 (x^2 + 1) = 6
2 consective # times each other to equal 6
2 * 3 = 6

x^2 = 2

Let u=x^2, then the equation is u^2+u-6=0. Solve for u by factoring so that u=3 or -2. Repace u with x^2 and solve for x, yielding x= sqrt(2) or sqrt(3).
