Does anyone know how many problems you can get wrong and score an 800 on the writing (sat ii)? Including the essay? I have real sats ii, but that was in like 1995.. so. i'm not sure how accurate it is.

Are you sure about that Becks?
The Real SAT book I have is from 1998, but the scales are not that harsh. You can miss a couple and get like an 11 and still score an 800. The Kaplan book I have (from last year) is kinda different in its scoring, but not that harsh certainly. I would love to hear from some other people.

Sandy's right... there is a decent curve most years on the SAT II writing (not as much as on, say, Math 2C though). You can get an 11 - maybe even 10 - on the essay, miss a few MC and still get an 800.

from 1995, you can get like.. a 10 and like 4 wrong or something on mc. btw, how hard do people grade on those essays?
