In order to get an 800 on the math or verbal section of the SAT do you have to get every signle question right or is there a curve?
-Thanks

there is a curve, some years better than others.

Usually, you can afford to miss a couple on the verbal section and still get an 800. The math section usually has such a high curve that missing one will dock you 10 points, if not more.
I missed 0 in verbal, 1 in math, and was probably lucky to get a 800/790 instead of a 800/780.

I got three math questions wrong and ended up with a 740 (harsh curve...). Verbal is a little more forgiving, 2 wrong-800
