I've been studying on and off this summer, memorizing around 600 words and doing a lot of practice tests. Unfortunately, I am unable to get past the 640/650 mark on the verbal section of the SAT.
I am planning on taking the test this coming October, but I would really like to improve that score to 700, or better yet 750.
Is this possible, and how can I achieve this HUGE goal of mine? PLEASE HELP!!

I'm in the same situation. There doesn't seem to be a way out.

Same here. I'm trying to convince myself I can still bump the score up since I haven't tried 10 RS yet. =P

If you haven't yet, look through strategies for the analogies and sentence completions. They can be found in most SAT study books (Barrons, Kaplan, REA, etc.).
For critical reading, there's nothing to do except take a lot of practice tests. Raindrops, you should take every single 10RS you can...they really help. Since all of you appear to be in the same boat, perhaps you could do an experiment: if you haven't, each of you try a different method. One of you could try wordlists and such, another could try Kaplans, another could go through 10 RS, etc.
The results could be extremely useful for the rest of us on this forum. Just a thought, you don't have to if you don't want to!
Good luck!
