In junior year I am loaded with tough classes and I have this chance to be treasurer of the science club. Last year, I also took every hard class for sophomores and was doing almost 8-11 hours of HW. A few days ago, I was given a chance to become the Science Club treasurer. But, the president warned me that it will be a lot of work. Should I do it? I don't want to become a sleepless zombie. But, its good for college. I have the SATs and stuff to worry about though...
And a better SAT score is better than a little club
If I don't become treasurer though, I can definitely go for a lower position...
What do you think?

I'd say no. Grades are more important than EC's.

If it will affect your test scores and grades, then no. Get the lower position, just make sure it's not something obscure like "Assistant to the Assistant Historian" or something neglible like that.

What are your other ECs? What's your schedule? How could you possibly have been doing 11 hours of homework every night? If you don't have the time to do it, don't do it! Take a lower position...if you're the secretary or a committe chair, it won't look any different to colleges.
