on quantitive comparisons, i've noticed that near the end if it gives two figures where one would assume that figure a is greater, the answer is usually C.

One trick is using the terms of "lesser value" or "what is the least" and then listing all negative numbers.

Drawing TWO identical forms in QC but omitting to provide a scale. This is different from the "NOT to SCALE" drawings.
An example is to provide 2 identical piecharts composed of different percentages. They expect you to answer A or B, however the answer HAS to be D since no scale is given for the piecharts and you do not know the value of 100% of Pie A or Pie B.
It is a very effective trick
