Do colleges look at when an SAT II was taken compared to what course was completed at that time? For example, i took Chemistry after taking Honors Chem, while others might take it after AP. I also took World History after a class in AP Euro, while it appears that the test is geared much more towards World History courses than Euro ones. Basically, would a lower score on an SAT II be looked at more favorably if it was taken after a less advanced course (assuming a more advanced one was not available)?

Your score report shows the date the test was taken, and the college admissions officer can, of course, match that date up to the corresponding class you took. In terms of placement, an admissions officer MIGHT consider the course you took when studying a lower score. However, realize that it was the person's choice for him/her to take the test at that time. If you are using one of these SAT II's as a top 3 score on an sat2, the grade or course taken is NOT considered.

Thanks for the input. I am also curious about how many SAT IIs one should take. I know that colleges only want the top three (I have taken four after sophomore year but want to do better), but does it look good if there are, say, seven SAT IIs, all above 700? Even if the top three are stellar, would many more good scores give someone an edge?
