about how many questions can you miss on the psat to get a 65 on the verbal? wc? math?

It depends on the curve, however you typically can get about 9 wrong on the verbal, around 6 wrong on the math and 8 wrong on the writing skills (according to the Student bulliton test for the psat)

hmm are you sure? In the Pratice PSAT you were able to miss 8-9 on the math to get 65, 12-13 on the verbal to get 65, and 10-11 on the writing to get a 65. Keep in the mind that the practice (everyone who i took to agree) that the practice PSAT that your school hands to you is a bit easier than the real thing. I'm hoping for a score around 200. *crosses fingers*

How many questions are there on the PSAT for each section

I have a question on one of the last math grid in questions on the PSAT. The question asked for the least possible mutliplied out value of 103^2x and x is a positive integer. The lowest positive integer is 1. Therefore 103^2 is the answer. However, 103^2 is a 5 digit number and did not fit in the grid in box. All of my friends at school who came up with an answer complained about the problem. Is this an error in the question or is there another way? I'd like to know what other ppl who took the PSAT on Tuesday got for that answer. Thanks

Billy the question asked for the units digit of the answer...in the case of 103^2, the answer is 10609, so the UNITS DIGIT IS 9...that is the answer, 9.

ohhh, you're right. it did ask for the units digit. I actually asked that question for around 5-10 other ppl. I did put down 9 tho. I remember looking for the unit's digit. Thanks

does anyone know what the answer was for the math question about the prime numbers-i think it was a grid in
| By Billy on Wednesday, October 16, 2002 - 10:20 pm: Edit |
It was 13. I don't really want to explain the entire thing. A quick explanation is that Q * R = 3 * 5 and S = 13. Those multiplied together equals 195. 195 is as close as you can get to 200 using 3 different odd numbers when X>1
