Hello,i'm thinking about getting the Gruber prep book. I just want to know though before i order it if it deals with thoses those awful non overlapping polygon type questions.I'm actually 23 and am taking the sat in Oct, so i haven't seen some of these sat type questions in a while.I know Gruber has been discussed in other posts, but does his book cover pretty much all the types of math questions one will see on the sat? All help is greatly appreciated.

Gruber WILL cover about anything that could show up on the SAT test and probably a bit more.

However, remember that ETS/CB loves to bring new twists to old problems. The difficulty is not necessarily the material but the tricky way they may present the questions.

If you have a doubt about your precise question, I would encourage you to go check the book out at your local bookstore. Your can read it there or use the liberal return policy.

This is probably getting super old ... but your best bet is still to get as many tests as you can from TCB. The 10 Real Sat books (in the 3 versions) give you a good number of tests (14) to begin with. Then there are a few offered on the College Board site. Finally, there are about 16 tests that you order directly from TCB for 4 dollars each. Among the 16 tests are VERY recent ones. This may be the best place to find out about the "new" type of questions.

However, the drawback of getting the newer tests is that you wont find the explanations for puzzling questions. THe answers keys are provided with all tests. Sites like www.studyhall.com only cover the 1st and 2nd version of the 10 REal Sat books.

But then, there is THIS board. Most questions about difficult or puzzling questions are answered quite rapidly and ... correctly. And that is not always the case at www.studyhall.com :)
