i want to raise my sat verbal score from a 620 to hopefully around 750 (okay, so perhaps not an 800, but it would be nice, wouldn't it?) i'm retaking the sat I's in oct.... with a lot of practice do you guys think i could potentially do this?

No doubt. Know the vocabulary and concentrate on the reading sections and you'll be fine. I mean, you'll get beyond the 700 boundary.

i want to go from 640 to 800. 800 just being the *ultimate* goal. something like 730 and i will be thrilled.

Hmm...too lazy to type again...probably already addressed in another post. For example, the one title "SAT I Score Increase." It could happen, though. Get to some other posts and check what other people with similar situations have asked, and how people have answered them. [Must stop typing now.]
