I don't like PR. It's a waste of money for 20 bucks and the strategies they teach you are, although a bit helpful, not descriptive enough. Atleast the book I got, the margins were like 2 inches! Kaplan has more exercises and is more helpful. Although, the best SAT Book I've had so far are: Grubers (for math), 100 hottest SAT words, some verbal workout books and Barrons.

I have the kaplan higher score 2003. It's useful in that it raised my psat score about 20 points(or ~ 200 SAT points). but the downside is if you've used other study preps and stuff you'll probably find some of the "SAT tips" etc a little repetitive. The lessons are useful though but you'd probably find some of the same stuff in other prep books.. the only plus to the cd is that even though they use corny cartoons and whatnot, it keeps your attention (well it kept mine anyway) The writing lesson is also pretty useful for the writing SAT II for when you're done w/ the PSATs. I'd say if you wanted to raise an already high score (like 1350+) to something higher it's probably not as strong of a prep as it would be for people trying to raise 1200s... (although its definitely a fun way to review, whatever you have as a score) another thing is if you already have the kaplan verbal workout (and maybe for math too im not sure since i dont have the math) you'll find that some of the same questions are reused on the cd during the simulated tests (i saw some questions i already did in the verbal workbook on the practice test on the cdrom). look it up on amazon.. they also say its not so compatible with windows XP so be careful w/ that. hope this helps!

The software versions are annoying. If you like Barney and Sesame Street, you may enjoy them.

It is lazy person solution and not worth spending a dime on!
