i got a 1230 oct. 2001 SAT and then a 1330 on march 2002 SAT and finally a 1520 on june SAT.

is that 1230 gonna hurt me? or will they consider the gradual increase of scores (i heard that if u go up about 100 points each time, it shows that u are dedicated cause u prepared for it)

please respond
thanks so much

you raised it up really high so i think it would be fine. Hey btw, did you just study hard or what?

i studied a whole lot to raise it up a hundred points- my breakdown on the first was 520V 710M and my breakdown on the second was 600V 730M. i studied a lot of vocab to raise the verbal.

i'm just a senior but i don't think it will hurt you. also don't think it'll make them think you're extra dedicated or anything, but a 1520's good enough to stand on its own.

Work through the "10 Real SATs," published by the College Board, to gain experience with the SAT exam. To learn some test-taking tricks, read a prep book (my personal favorite is the Princeton Review).

That's an awesome improvement! That first score will not hurt you. In fact, they might be impressed with your dedication and success - that's exactly what they want to see, that when you're faced with a challenge you'll stick to it and beat it.

I'll second sgandhi's vote for Princeton Review's prep books...best test-taking strategies I've seen, very effective. It helps to also read a lot (not comix, mind you!) and work on vocab, but their strategies are golden.
