In 10 Real SATs, anything >71 raw is supposed to be an 800. Is this accurate?

Not always. I had a 74 raw on the April SAT and got a 770 V.

Why is Kaplan's curve so high? I found that the Kaplan tests were fairly easier than the 10 Real SAT tests, and the 10 Real curves were pretty much decent for the most part.

a 72 on one of the reals is a 740.
