I'm going to apply early to Dartmouth next year. I have a 31 ACT and a 1450 SAT. Should I retake?

How did you prep? What is the breakdown on the SAT?

I didn't prep for the ACT, because I'm looking at all East coast schools, but I did prep for the SAT. I actually was really surprised about the SAT-- my predicted score from taking the PSAT was 1290-1330. I did prep a lot-- I took three of the 10 reals (which I thought were way harder than the May SAT) and I used "up your score" for vocab. I did a lot of vocab work. My breakdown was 740 verbal, 710 math.

I think you should retake.
Better chance at Dartmouth if you get in the 1500's.

I agree with Good Gal, but do you play sports (recruited)? Do you have any special talents? 1450 is not the highest but it's definitely up there, so it totally depends on everything else you have going for you.
