I got a 650 on the diagnostic.

This sucks. I have to pull at least a 740 on the real one. What the hell is with all the 650's?? A month ago I took the Chem SAT II practice tests from Princeton Review and Barrons and got a 650 in both of those. Damn!! After Chem AP, I should be easily scoring a 750 at least. Aaaahh!

Preparing for the AP helps a lot for the SAT II. I took a practice SAT II a month or two ago and got a 660, but after studying intensely for the AP I took another SAT II on Tuesday and scored a 770. The trickiest part to me is analyzing the T/T/CE questions. I'm taking the Chem SAT II in June

i am really disappointed with all my SAT2's. even after ap chem, ap bio and ap eng lang i managed not to even break 700 on bio, chem and writing. i think i might actually have some sort of testing problem. i get good grades but dont test well. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

btw i used test prep books and did much better. what are the chances

Jason last year (freshman year) I took Chemistry honors and never got higher than a 660 on a single practice test (Barrons & Kaplan) and on the actual test day I got 730. Just keep practicing. I think the fact I had it on score choice gave me confidence.

i had score choice when I took it after chem honors and I got a damn 550

What is the best book for SAT II Chemistry?

By T0fu (T0fu) on Saturday, May 17, 2003 - 12:54 pm: Edit

Kaplans is good. Add 100 to your practice test score to get your real test score. You'll be fine.

how is PR for SAT II Chem?

...are you guys all taking it in June?

By Jason817 (Jason817) on Sunday, May 18, 2003 - 12:29 am: Edit

I'm taking it in June. I don't know about PR, Barrons, and Kaplans' accuracy because I scored a 650 in each book's practice test

Barrons rules!

How about REA?

Hipster, how do other people in your school score? It could be that your school isn't as good, so if you're at the top of your school, it doesn't look as bad. Good grades go for a lot more than standardized test scores, so feel bad for the people with bad GPAs and not bad SAT scores!

I'm using PR for the June Chem SAT II and it seems to be alright, but I would recommend looking through the AP book as well if you aren't in AP Chemistry.

I'm using Kaplan's for the June Chem SAT II and I think it is pretty good. I took AP Chemistry so my only concern is practicing the special T/F section that is on this test.

Why don't you just use the Real SAT II's book?
