my breakdown for this test was 680 math and 560 verbal. I am really disappointed in myself for getting this score but my instructor tells me that PR makes the first disgnostic test really hard. should i believe him?
BTW the test is Diagnostic test 2451 if anyone took it and my goal score for the june SAT is 1300.

I can't say for sure because I have never taken any PR tests but I have heard that they are harder than the real thing. I would get 10 real SATs (or download/get from your guidance office "Taking the SAT I reasoning test") and take a practice real SAT.

you would be better off taking a test from a ten real sat book and andrew123s is suggesting. if your using anything other than a real test to gauge your score you are wasting your time. besides test aren't that long, only like what 2 hours without the experimental section

I really suspect that they make the first one harder. I took the psat in 10th grade and got 1290. I took the psat in 11th and got 1420. I then took the 1st PR diagnostic test and got a 1230. My subsequent scores were 1400, 1530, 1470 and then 1490 on the real thing.

I think they make it harder so they can make it look like they helped you improve more than they really did.

dont worry, i took pr class too. my first diag was summing like 1350 and my last one went up to 1470. im assuming ujust began ur class, so relax. they teach you a lot of useful techniques that really help (albeit they are techniques yo could easily pull out of a twenty dollar book...). but the class is good, it forces you to practice.

i learned nothing from the class. The only time you learn is from the hw. Which makes it a waste of money since u can do the hw on your own without taking the course.

Well if it isn't our buddy Ace1 who likes to bash Jason for doing "poorly" on practice exams. Um, can you say....dirty little hypocrite?...
Anyways, stick w/the real thing, and ditch PR practice tests.

yeah i admit the class didnt teach me anything i didnt really already know. but having a class forces you to do practice nd stuff.the diagnostic tests from pr are by far the best thing about the class. yes, i admit that i would reccomend a CD or a book over a class any day.

thats true.. the only beneficial part of the course was the simulated sat exams on the saturday mornings. It defintatly helped to relieve the tension and nervousness when the real sat came

i work with this guy, he already has gotten well over 1300 on 10 reals. I think the PR test is harder too, anyways, hes already done all of 10 reals..so.

The first test might be harder. Also, I think their curves are messed up.
10th grade PSAT: 1420
PR tests (summer after 10th): 1390, 1420, 1440, 1510
11th grade PSAT: 1580
11th grade SAT: 1540
Princeton Review helped me get from low 1400s to mid to high 1500s.

MY friend took PR for the ACT and saw no improvemenet, got the same score before and after the class. Be careful before spending the money for the class.

Yes, it definitely is true that the first one is harder because they want your improvement to look more drastic. I got a 1240 on the first PR SAT and a 1460 on the real thing.
