We haven't done a lab in months. Out of 20 or so chapters in our book, we stoped doing labs around ch. 3 or 4. How can I prepare for the lab ?s on the exam?

We have only done 3-4 labs as well. There is no way to actually prepare without doing the labs. My teacher says is most likely on the spectrometer lab because they haven't asked that yet.

Thanx lots 4 the info. We have never learned about such a thing, so I will be sure to research it.

What's a spectrometer? How do I prepare for the lab questions (are there any good books)? We haven't done a lab since December

The AP Cliffs Chemistry book has a summary of a ton of labs.

a spectrometer shoots a beam of light through a sample and that allow the measurement of concentration of the sample.

and it follows beer's law which is absorbance = elc (actually, i made up these letters but every textbook has diff ones anyways)
e: is some kind of constant related to specific wavelength
l: is length of cell path which the light is shone through
c: is the concentration of the sample in mol/L

oh and isn't it a spectrophotometer?

yeah thats what I meant.

Don't count on spectrophotometer. Its just a prediction. For all you know it could be a titration or some other thing.

it won't be spectrophotometer because theres very very little calculation associated with it.
