Hey all... I got 3 math wrong today (luckily two of them were SPR questions....
Can someone estimate my score? Is there ANY chance I got a 770? Thanks...

there's a chance, you got anywhere from a 750 to a 780, depends.

I got 3 wrong in April & got 740. I think 3 wrong is generally slightly higher though, depending on the curve.

3 wrong with 2 SPR's wrong would be 56.75 or 56.66666 (depending on whether the third is a QC or MC) raw score, which is rounded to a 57. That could be a 750, a 760, or even a 770 on one awsome curve I found in the 10 real SAT book. I doubt that curve will happen though, but who knows.

It really depends on the curve. May 2002, I missed three, got a 730. Jan 2003, I missed two and got a 740 (what a horrible curve!!!)

My friend got 3 wrong in April and got a 760.

AAwesome, you must have missed 2QC in January 2003. This was the curve:
60 800
59 790
58 760
57 740
56 720
55 710
54 700
53 690
52 680
51 670
50 660

Woa, that curve was harsh. I've never seen one like that in 10 real sats. Was the Jan math very easy? Can anyone who has taken both Jan and May compare the tests?

I missed 3 math and got a raw score of 57 on the Apr 6 sat and got a 740

This is a curve from April. Dxiw compiled it based on the reported scores and ended up with this:
One guy (Enzo) reported getting 760 with a raw score of 760, but at least three people reported it to be a 740. However, some people also report 3 wrongs with a score of 740. I guess it all depends where you made the 3 mistakes and the penalty level of 1/3, 1/4 or none.

I took January and May...I'd have to say both were extremely easy, but I found May to actually be a little easier...I can't say there were any hard questions on the May test...the hardest one in my eyes was with the cube and it asked for the smallest angle, but after thinking for 30 seconds i figured that out...Expect a steep curve for May...1 wrong will probably be 790, 2-might be 760 just like in January (which is what I ended up with, 2 dumb mistakes)...
The verbal curve will also be pretty steep for the May test, as it seemed extraordinarily easy as well...but who ever knows what collegeboard is thinking, I guess we'll have to tough it out and see, and pray for a generous curve

xiggi, the grade for a raw score of 69 on the verbal for the April exam was a 720
| By Andrew123s (Andrew123s) on Monday, May 05, 2003 - 03:36 pm: Edit |
Yeah, my friend got 3 wrong and got a 760, it does depend on whether the 3 were student produced responses or qcs or regular mcs. For example, if you get 3 Qcs wrong, its -4, so its a raw score of 56 which would explain the 740. So I think a raw score of 57 is a 760 (in April).
