POST YOUR OPINION OF THE DIFFICULTY OF MATH AND VERBAL, EVERY QUESTION AND ANSWER THAT YOU REMEMBER AND HARD VOCABULARY THAT YOU ENCOUNTERED
By Jasontoff (Jasontoff) on Saturday, May 03, 2003 - 12:25 pm: Edit
I was not happy with the test....some questions I remember--
denuded - as part of an answer
last critical reading:
was the risk artistic/financial?
was it satirical/quizzical?
for math, was the problem with the computer program and 15 colors, 8 of which were backgrounds, experimental?

First of all, putting "Official" on the title thread is sort of a joke.
I put Financial and Quizzical.
The math program with 15 colors is experimental.
Now you can help me out: Did you see a 35Q/30M Verbal section with Plant Genetics as one of the Crit Readings?

I think that problem was experimental, I didn't even have it...I found the verbal to be pretty easy, aside from the section with 2 different passages and sets of questions (not the double passage). Also, does anyone know the answer to the stronghold:fortification one, that should have been an easy one but somehow it eluded me.

plant genetics...hmm, no I don't remember that-
By Expataznamerica (Expataznamerica) on Saturday, May 03, 2003 - 12:33 pm: Edit
That does suck tho, because the Plant Genetics Verbal Section was pretty easy.
I also thought the same about the 2 different passages and sets of questions. Totally messed up on it, but I have previous scores to back it up so I'm safe.

It's possible tha Stronghold:Fortification was on the experimental, but I can't remember.

What was the psychologist trying to say to the guy?
What was the answer to DISTILL:PURE?
Was indominable an answer?
What was THEATER:ENTERTAIN?
The one about the two girls standing back to back and walking ...
And also, this one was probably really easy but I think I may have read the question wrong. There are x kids in a camp... half are girls.. y are boys. It was quant comp... A B C D?
What was the answer to the last question in the 15 minute math section? With the paralellogram with 5 equal segments.
And also, the one with the two paralell lines and how many lines you could make to connect two points. It seemed too easy.
What about the metaphoric hug?

Since this test is given in different time zones, I think it is self defeating (considering it is graded on a curve) to post info. so soon.

POST YOUR QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS IN THE OTHER THREAD TO MAKE THINGS EASIER

Fastforward, the curve is decided BEFORE the test
By Archimedes (Archimedes) on Saturday, May 03, 2003 - 04:40 pm: Edit
You retard he means that some other people might do better because they will see the answers.. then we will get worse scores because the SAT is graded on a curve.
What both of you idiots don't realize is that the test is three and a half hours long, so even a three hour time difference won't matter, i.e. i'm in chicago, someone in calif. will already be taking the test by the time I post. NOOBS!
