Does anyone have an explanation to #25 in 10 real SAT's, November '96 test.. Section 2...

I couldn't type it here, it includes a picture..

muchas gracias

A got a 770 math score on this one... too bad I missed this one, I could've scored a 790!

Also, #10 in the same section:

10. If a line L is perpendicular to a segment AB at point E and AE=EB, how many points on line L are the same distance from point A as from point B?
E)All points

Answer - E

I just don't understand what they are asking.

These are the only ones I missed

that's too easy
well, think about it ...draw any point on line L and measure it's distance from A and to point B. it's the same distance. There are an infinite # of points possible that'll work

I just took this test today too! Perpendicular means a line intersecting another, creating four 90 degree angles. It says line L is perpendicular through AB at point E and also that AE=EB. E is the midpoint, so E is equidistant from point A to point B. Line L is perpendicular to line AB so any given point on line L is equidistant from both point A and B.

That probably sounds jumbled, but its hard to explain without being able to draw a picture to show you, but if still have any questions ask me and i'll clear things up.

I guess tiger said it better...

I thought #25 was hard too.. I got it with like seconds to spare...plug in each answer choice and work out the rest of the angles on the picture. To make it easier right now, start with choice E cuz that one is right!

If your still confused ask me a specific question. I'll help you out.
