does anyone know how to rid these ads/popups installed on my comp? its so annoying. i tried all the scanners.. spybot, adaware, even norton.. they didnt take care of it. i looked into the files and they've got trackers and stuff!! ahh.. stupid i.e. i tried to uninstal them but it wouldnt work..

What version of Ad-aware do you have? SE? If not get that version and give it another go. I'd also look into downloading the Firefox browser and getting the extension called "Adblock." Not only does Firefox provide some protection against spyware and adware, but Adblock allows you to right-click on ads and block them forever.

where can I get hijackthis? what is that?

i use mozilla but my family uses i.e..they dont know how to use mozilla heh

That's true, but as soon as you switch to IE, pop ups, pop ups, and more pop ups!

Funny Spyware got rid of my pop ups......it is free to download
