I am sorry if this gets posted twice --- I can't see it after I hit the enter key ;(
I told my son that if he went to USC, he would only be able to come home for the summer and no holidays. He went anyway and now I am eating my words. I have the worst case of empty-nest syndrome. Anybody got a cure?

This is your time to get involved again in activities that you put off while raising your son.

Got a yen to restart an old hobby? Try a sport? Lose weight? Do volunteer work? Take a class? Get together with friends?

This is a good time to rediscover yourself. Enjoy.

If you truly miss the company of young people, consider volunteering with something like the scouts, Big Sisters or a local high school. Many such organizations are in desperate need of volunteers.
