I'm applying for a job at a tutoring place and the application asks for three professional or personal references. I've only been employed once before, so I'm not too sure what to put for the other two references. Is it a good idea to put parents or friends? There really isn't anyone else I can think of to put as a reference.

teachers. besides, I don't think they call references usually, at least not around here.

Teachers are excellent references. Just ask them in advance.
