Hey I need some help!! Ive always wanted to go to Canada when I am older. I am determined to emigrate there and live there in the future. My original plan was to go to university in Canada, and then stay there after (If they'll have me lol!) However since i developed that plan I have got into a fantastic relationship and I dont want to leave him. Im not stupid....i know that relationships might not last and uni is more important but i dont want to throw it away as I know he would move to canada with me in a few years if we stayed together...but he cant at the moment because of his band. So I am trying to decide whether to go to a uni in London so I can stay with him, or leave him and go to canada.
I am going to apply to them both (unis in england and ones in canada) and then when summer comes, decide what to do, depending on whether im still with him. The thing is...can I do that? If i apply for uni's in canada and get accepted, can i pull out in june? or am I bound..? does anyone know?!
thanks very much!
lou xx

Why worry about this now? Apply to schools in the UK and in Canada. Since they do not respond until April anyway, you will not have to make a decision for at least another 6 months. Actually, in the case of English universities, you don't even have to make a decision until your A level results come out, sometime in August. By then, you will probably be in a different situation with regards to your relationship. If you are still together, you will have to make a tough decision. If you are no longer together, things will be easier.

As far as some advice to you. Most relationships between teenagers do not last. As such, I would not recommend you make him a factor in your college decision.
