Gmail is a prototype e-mail system that Google (the search engine folks) is testing out. It has 1000mb of memory (so you never have to delete anything), decent anti-spam, and you can use a search engine to go through your mail. Pretty neat.

As of right now, it's still being tested, so you can only get it through invites. Of course, since it's still being tested, sometimes it does some odd things (won't let you sign on, etc.)...at least that's my experience with it. I still use Gmail, but it's quirky sometimes.

BTW, why is everyone giving out Gmail invites haphazardly on CC? Doesn't that lower the value of the invites of any bloke can get them off of a college forum? I've only given two out, and those were to close friends.

Ew. I sent 21 (TWENTY ONE) gmail invitations. Talk about gmail's new lack of exclusivity (or however you spell it).

I used to feel so proud and elitist with my account. Now -- its all gone!
