i did junior statemen at Stanford and loved it
however:
it was a LOT more intense than i expected, and if you want to balance it out with having a social life, the one thing you will sacrifice is SLEEP! (and lots of people hate to sacrifice that during summer)
but i totally recommend it. :-)
