That's what I used to tell people, but they just gave me atomic wedgies or stuffed me into a locker. It doesn't matter though. They're probably just jealous of my brand new black leather dress shoes, which I purposely wear with long white socks and short pants, to emphasize the shiny polish.

As in nerds, you mean those little candy boxes? Man, those things rock. I'd never tease them!

By Reject (Reject) on Monday, August 23, 2004 - 04:12 pm: Edit

Calston, you are clearly a nerd yourself

By Idiias (Idiias) on Monday, August 23, 2004 - 04:21 pm: Edit

Reject, you are clearly a reject

Oh, I don't deny I'm a nerd. I was just making a (really lame) joke. Heh. I'd heard that saying before, but I didn't know it was Bill Gates who said it. So, you learn something new every day.

im a math nerd, im a math nerd, enough said.

Nerds don't make it big in the lond run

Don't you notice that the boss of big companies are imposing and carry a big personality, and is usually very fond of conversing with others? In addition to knowledge, THAT is how they get ahead, not a nerd.

By Wrathofgod64 (Wrathofgod64) on Monday, August 23, 2004 - 04:41 pm: Edit

in the corporate world, it's very hard for someone w/o people/political skills to move up, which is y most of the nerds remain programmers. as u move up in the corporate ladder, the bosses do not need to know much programming, for they are more concerned with managing a large group of people.

I am a nerd and no one makes fun of me. Does that mean I will never be anyone's boss?

By Calston (Calston) on Monday, August 23, 2004 - 04:53 pm: Edit

Kiwee,

Ha, ha, nerd. OK, now you're fit to be a boss! Best of luck! :-)

Geeks are nerds with personality... *that's me!!!*

By Joseancer (Joseancer) on Monday, August 23, 2004 - 08:48 pm: Edit

Geeks are a special breed of non-conformists :) I definitely fit that category. Geek, Nerd, Dork (very popular term), Weirdo... i've heard them all

Star Trek rules baby! and so does Johnny English!

By Ay_Caramba (Ay_Caramba) on Monday, August 23, 2004 - 09:08 pm: Edit

Dork has definitely become not an insult anymore. Now everyone says that they're a dork. That hot popular blonde breaks a nail: "Oh, I am like SUCH a DORK!" And when someone like calls someone else a dork, it's like a sign of affection: "Oh, Johnny, I love when you act all dorky! It's SO ADORABLE!"

Or maybe I'm just completely wrong. Maybe everyone I hang out with is on E or something... (not that I hang out with hot popular blonde chicks...hey maybe I'm on E...)
