It is starting back up soon and I am looking forward to it.

Link coming

Its on every night on cartoon network, but now that I heard fox is going to air new episodes, I worry it will lose its un-pc edge that makes it so unique.

By Nate8585 (Nate8585) on Wednesday, August 11, 2004 - 03:39 pm: Edit

Family Guy originally aired on Fox from 1999-2001 but was canceled after the third season. I highly doubt that the channel that originally aired the cartoon would force it to lose its un-pc edge. The new episodes will air in the summer of 2005. Fox realized its cancellation mistake after the series became one of the best selling dvds.

Peter: I'll handle it, Lois. I read a book about this sort of thing once.

Brian: Are you sure it was a book? Are you sure it wasn't nothing?

Peter: Oh yeah.

If you do not have the dvds, it is on at 11pm sun-fri on cartoon network. Check your local listings.
Fox is the only network channel that could have it because of Family Guy's conservative bent.

By Neo (Neo) on Wednesday, August 11, 2004 - 06:03 pm: Edit

"conservative bent"? I'm not sure what you're talking about.

Anyway...

It's also on tonight at 8/7c on TBS.

By Philntex (Philntex) on Wednesday, August 11, 2004 - 06:57 pm: Edit

yeah, i thought that was awesome that it's coming on TBS too, neo. One more hour until I get my FG high. Ahh...

By Bunmushroom (Bunmushroom) on Wednesday, August 11, 2004 - 10:52 pm: Edit

McFarland and Zuckerman have said publicly that they are conservatives and that the show contains many conservative jokes and plot lines.

Remember the show where peter gets on welfare, and becomes a lazy person. Or when they make fun of Clinton's time in office in the same episode. There are so many more, just watch out for them and you will see.

By Feenotype2 (Feenotype2) on Thursday, August 12, 2004 - 02:30 am: Edit

hmmm...interesting. But having a conservative slant doesn't make anything unfunny, and Family Guy rocks.

Btw...it's MacFarlane.

By Slayer (Slayer) on Thursday, August 12, 2004 - 09:43 am: Edit

i love that show!!! its hilarious! my favorite one i've seen is the one where the dad's singing to the kids not to "lick the toad"

By Jlq3d3 (Jlq3d3) on Thursday, August 12, 2004 - 02:28 pm: Edit

When peter narrates his own life and even better, when Peter gets a theme music.

By Yugekorb (Yugekorb) on Thursday, August 12, 2004 - 07:20 pm: Edit

Peter has some pretty good descriptions of his life when he is narrating. Not anything that represents the true idiot he is.

"Let me handle this Lois. I read about it in a book once"

I love Brian. I liked the episode when he started peeing all over the place and blamed it on Stewie.

By Uknowwho42 (Uknowwho42) on Monday, August 16, 2004 - 01:25 pm: Edit

Possibly the best scene I've watched so far in all the DVDs:

Indian Kid - Stewie, would you like to learn how to wrap a turban?

Stewie - Why don't you teach the chinese girl? or perhaps she can learn when her people invade your country

Indian Kid - Li would your people really do this?

Stewie - Oh try and stop them! and try and stop Pablo's people from using drug money to buy arms from Li's countrymen who will in turn sell them to Yuri's people so that they can ethnically cleanse the rest of this nausiatingly diverse grab bag of genetic party favors you call a family! so now you understand yes? you all hate each other!

*they start crying as peter falls down the chimney*

Stewie - Oh hosana it's the lesser of two evils!

Peter - Oh uh uh Hey kids uhhh..I'm santa claus! just practicing for christmas

Indian kid - But you are white...jack and sarah told me santa is indian

Black Kid - Do not be stupid..santa is black!

Indian Kid - Santa can't be black we do not fear him...

Chinese Kid - Cram it Ghandi! santa is asian

Mexican kid - How can he be asian!? santa doesn't drive his sled 20 miles under the speed limit with his blinker on! go back to your rice paddy mulan!

Hahahaahha

The runners-up:

Peter: "Well, what am I supposed to do with all my great ideas? Put them in a tub and wash myself with them? 'Cause that's what soap is for, Lois."

Peter: "...Which is more than we ever got from those freeloadin' Canadians.... (stares blankly).... CANADA SUCKS!"

Best show ever.

By Justperfect (Justperfect) on Monday, August 16, 2004 - 08:53 pm: Edit

if you have had a hard day or your other died in a violent car crash this will get your mind off stuff, its funnier than the simpsons if youve hear of them, try it on for size

By Aim78 (Aim78) on Tuesday, August 17, 2004 - 01:12 am: Edit

Not the most appropriate show to watch around your parents. It rips-off The Simpsons quite a bit, but it's hilarious in its own way. Possibly better than The Simpsons in its prime.

By Gidget (Gidget) on Tuesday, August 17, 2004 - 09:02 am: Edit

Seth Green is the voice of Brian

By Nlkrueger (Nlkrueger) on Tuesday, August 17, 2004 - 06:13 pm: Edit

I thought Seth MacFarlane was the voice of Brian, the dog, and Seth Green was the voice of Chris, the son.

By Hunter1985 (Hunter1985) on Tuesday, August 17, 2004 - 06:23 pm: Edit

Family Guy may be funnier than the current season of the Simpsons, but NOTHING can touch the Simpsons in it's prime.

Homer: I wanna set the record straight: I thought, the cop, was a prostitute! *nods with satisfaction*

Sideshow Bob: That was a bad move, Bart. No child has ever meddled in the Republican Party and lived to tell about it!-best line ever!

...but yeah...Family Guy is "freakin' awesome."

Stewie (to Brian, very slowly): I, am going, to kick, your, ass!

Jesus: For my next miracle, I'm gonna turn water...into funk!

Stewie (after Brain "violates" the Pwetershmitz' dog): *70's porn music*

By Neo (Neo) on Tuesday, August 17, 2004 - 09:59 pm: Edit

You guys, the new season starts tomorrow night on Fox. I think it's 8/7c.

The show's back.

By Aim78 (Aim78) on Tuesday, August 17, 2004 - 11:46 pm: Edit

You're right Hunter, Simpsons can't be touched. Loved the sugar episode with Disco Stu sucking sugar through a straw with "More More More" playing in the background. Barney dancing in a bikini to the "I Dream of Jeanie" theme song. Barney's independent film about alcohol. Homer waiting for his gun license - "The Waiting is the Hardest Part." Bart running away from Homer like Indiana Jones and catching the bus. Homer taking Bart to a steel mill that turns out to be gay. Yup, you can't beat that.

By Poison_Ivy (Poison_Ivy) on Tuesday, August 17, 2004 - 11:47 pm: Edit

OH! it's the show with the ulgy hairy baby....

you people like that stuff?

By Number9 (Number9) on Wednesday, August 18, 2004 - 12:49 am: Edit

The more you know about pop culture, the more you like/appreciate Family Guy. A lot of people will just find it stupid if they don't understand a lot of what they're poking fun at. Thats what the show goes for, the plot is kind of secondary to 'how much pop culture refrences can we throw in?'

Tonight's episode on [as] was great, because it featured HERBERT. The best character ever featured on that show. The rest of the episode is rather weak, I think.

"I have a tip for you right here in my pocket but my arthritis...why dont you get it with your big strong muscly arms?"

There's a scene that always gets me laughing. They cut to Jesus playing golf with some guys. He misses the put, and everyone's "tough luck, Jesus" then Jesus goes, "or is it?" and moves his hand (therefore moving the ball in the cup). "Uhhh...ohhh...booyah!"

By Aim78 (Aim78) on Wednesday, August 18, 2004 - 01:04 am: Edit

Maybe you're a little young Poison_Ivy...

Stewie isn't hairy so you must be thinking of another show.

By Justperfect (Justperfect) on Wednesday, August 18, 2004 - 02:14 pm: Edit

#9 you didnt like it, i thought it was the funniest,it was when the Griffins go to the South,i loved when peter went into the police line up and said "IM LOOKING FOR MY SON CHRIS GRIFFIN,HE IS HERE TO ID SOMEONE,ANYONE SEEN CHRIS GRIFFIN,HE I GOT A PICTURE OF HIM,I DONT LIKE IT B/C IT WAS DRAWN ON SO YOU CAN HAVE IT. that was the best and then the FBI goes and partys at his house.

By Jlq3d3 (Jlq3d3) on Wednesday, August 18, 2004 - 02:31 pm: Edit

I love family guy. I think the individual jokes and scenes maybe funnier than the simpsons, but the overall plot and characters in the Simpsons are deeper and better, while family guy's plots are not as deep and are much rawer.

By Abrandel05 (Abrandel05) on Wednesday, August 18, 2004 - 03:04 pm: Edit

In my math class last year, we watched family guy every Friday...in a small school the best classes are always the Senior classes when your not a senior! lol

By Justperfect (Justperfect) on Wednesday, August 18, 2004 - 04:22 pm: Edit

the only simpsons part i liked was the Bill cosby Kids Say,funniest;but the family guy has some odd moments like when the family was in the courtroom and the Kool Aid man jumped in

By Neo (Neo) on Wednesday, August 18, 2004 - 07:48 pm: Edit

The Simpsons overall is a great show, but the last three seasons (including the current one) have been the worst in recent memory. The show doesn't even try to make sense anymore. It's sad.

BUT FAMILY GUY RETURNS TO FOX TONIGHT AT 8/7c!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

By Aim78 (Aim78) on Wednesday, August 18, 2004 - 08:36 pm: Edit

No Neo, just reruns of the best episodes. We have to wait another year.

excuse me... just because i don't watch all these shows with balding ulgy babies doesn't mean i'm "too young", i prefer sex and the city with is much better than watching some undeveloped creature with a low voice.....

By Gidget (Gidget) on Thursday, August 19, 2004 - 09:33 am: Edit

I'm with you Poison Ivy- I'll take sex and the city over a cartoon anyday

By Number9 (Number9) on Thursday, August 19, 2004 - 01:37 pm: Edit

I saw the pilot for Seth's new cartoon "American Dad" a couple months ago. I thought it was pretty poor. Nowhere near as funny as Family Guy. The characters just seemed too much like those in Family Guy too (I mean personality wise). But you know how Pilots are, so I expect it getting better.

By Neo (Neo) on Thursday, August 19, 2004 - 06:04 pm: Edit

P. Ivy -- what's the point of watching sex and the city? does it make you feel more cultured? more mature? does it give you giggles watching the guys in your house turn red when SJP starts talking about various parts of the female anatomy with excruciating detail?

I mean, there's nothing wrong with watching or not watching Family Guy, but hands down, I'd rather watch FG than SiTC. Quite frankly, FG seems more based in reality than that other show does.

By Kiwee (Kiwee) on Thursday, August 19, 2004 - 06:16 pm: Edit

Pamily Guy is the best show ever! It is so random and stupid... even though it does have a conservative slant, it is hillarious, and Stewie is the best cartoon character ever invented! EVER!

By Aim78 (Aim78) on Thursday, August 19, 2004 - 07:54 pm: Edit

You can't make an entire show about sex, it's just too much. Who wants to be sitting on their ass watching other people live it up? My least favorite episodes of Seinfeld are sex-centered, although they're still funny and perfectly done. If Seinfeld can barely make it work, no chance in hell anyone else can. Friends was overloaded with sex humor and all of it fell flat.

Family Guy is guaranteed to make a normal person laugh. And laughter is the best medicine...for not getting any sex.

Someone in an earlier post mentioned that Seth Green is the voice of Brian, but I am pretty sure he is the voice of Chris. Brian's voice is too low and doesn't really sound like Seth Green, although I could be mistaken.

Anyone else find Lois to be extremely hot? Maybe it's because her first name is the same as Lois Lane's, or because she reminds me of Scully from X-Files, but something is there.

I don't use playbody either, nor videos as those are 2D as well. Instead, I just go outside of peoples homes. That's 3D and the thrill of getting caught definately helps out.
