Anyone know how many people achieved a 1600 on the SAT before the recentering of 94-95?
Also, anyone here achieve a 1600 without any mistakes?

I'm pretty sure the 1600 of yesteryear was so rare that when it was achieved, the test taker was required to retest to prove the authenticity of the initial 1600. Or atleast my weird math teacher says so...

My history teacher got a 1600 before 1994. Haven't heard of him having to retest to verify his score though. It's possible, I suppose.
Also, I have a couple of friends who got golden 1600's. Both at Harvard, coincidentally (or not). I aced the verbal and missed one lousy question on the math. Didn't get the 1600, but I'm not complaining.
