If i could spend a day with anyone in the world, i would want to spend it with Julius Caesar. (of course i would go back in time or something..i dont wanna spend a day with the dirt where he was supposedly buried..)I think that he is way cool, and i have read a lot about him. That time i think is really cool, and that would be a blast to see that period in time, especialy with Caesar, one of the greatest emperors of the world.

John Winthrop, first governor of the Massachusetts Bay Colony. Colonial American history is so exciting to me and he is the great-great-(I don't know how great..)-grandfather of John Kerry!

By Anglophile (Anglophile) on Thursday, July 29, 2004 - 02:48 am: Edit
Eleanor of Aquitane, Jane Austen, Queen Elizabeth I, Moliere (he was a hottie), and Prince William--for obvious reasons.
I like the "dinner party" question better, then you don't have to narrow down your list so much. I hate having to choose!

Maynard James Keenan, just because his lyrics are interesting, and, from interviews I've read, he's seems like a pretty awesome person.
Also, Ben Gibbard seems like he would be cool too. And Conan O'Brien. Oh, and Maddox (maddox.xmission.com) would probably be fun to spend a day with. Just because he's hilarious.
If I had to spend a day with Paris Hilton I think I'd shoot myself.
By Victimofapathy (Victimofapathy) on Thursday, July 29, 2004 - 12:54 pm: Edit
Also, Charlie Kaufman. He would be really interesting.

Hitler would be interesting to meet. I wouldn't necessarily kill him, because I think talking to him would be really cool, in a morbid sort of way. I'd just like to know how his mind works. It would be facsinating.

Oprah Winfrey. Who wouldn't want to spend the day with the single female who has influenced nearly all aspects of pop-culture, who, on a side note, also happens to be a billionaire?
By Anglophile (Anglophile) on Friday, July 30, 2004 - 12:07 am: Edit
Alexandre Dumas, Victor Hugo, and Gaston Leroux (phantom of the opera)-- because these were really cool adventurous guys as well as amazing authors. I'd love to have edited Les Miserables for Victor Hugo-- it needs a few hundred pages removed. Alexandre and Gaston were very exciting people regardless of their novels. And Anne Rice, because she just seems to have fun.
I think I'm going through a French phase.

I would prefer William...

Hey Sparky, did you see that pic of the proposed Rasputin weener on the news? LOL. It was huge. That's where he got his "power" and "influence" over the Russian Czarina.
By Piman3141 (Piman3141) on Friday, July 30, 2004 - 08:31 pm: Edit
Rasputin did love his orgies...seriuosly. He thought the orgy was a way to connect to God spiritually or something. Weird.

If we factored in hotness too, I'd have to add, ironically, Gloria Steinem to that last, as well as Sylvia Plath. Two beautiful and very intelligent women of the past. I like the dinner party idea someone else brought up earlier. Imagine a dinner party, with Syd Barrett, Stephen Hawking, Gloria Steinem, and Sylvia Plath. And what about Stevie Nicks, from when she first joined Fleetwood Mac? What a bonny lass. Or even Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, the strange and frankly misunderstood duo that rampaged through Columbine High a few years ago. I'd love to see what they were actually thinking, and what they were REALLY like. Or how about Aleister Crowley? The wonderful possibilities of this topic are almost endless . . .

You know what would make my life? Spending the day with Christopher Reeve and the main cast of Seinfeld. I'd probably be drooling like an adoring fan, though. But then again, so would Jerry with Chris Reeve in the room. Superman is a huge part of my childhood, and Seinfeld is a huge part of my teenage years (not as big, though). If we could eat cereal for dinner, that would be the best. I could discuss different types of cereal with Jerry for hours.
