By Poison_Ivy (Poison_Ivy) on Tuesday, July 20, 2004 - 09:20 pm: Edit

All us girls like the whole "lex" sound going on.

By Zantedeschia (Zantedeschia) on Tuesday, July 20, 2004 - 10:40 pm: Edit

LoL Glamourbaby
Yes i like my names too and I plan to marry someone who's last name is Avenue. But I can't continue it because 5th and Broadway make bad names...

Geniusash, I like the name Fauna! That's one of my nicknames, the only one I like.

By Fusiachi (Fusiachi) on Wednesday, July 21, 2004 - 01:05 am: Edit

I ran into a guy at the grocey store the other day. His kids are named "Hunter", "Fisher", and "Trapper".

Nothing like rednecks.

By Zantedeschia (Zantedeschia) on Wednesday, July 21, 2004 - 01:32 am: Edit

Hahaha
poor kids

By Princess_Banana (Princess_Banana) on Wednesday, July 21, 2004 - 02:08 am: Edit

the director of the 'Spy Kids' movies named his kids Rebel, Racer, and Rocket [Rodriguez]

although its not unusual for celebrities to go name their kids weirdly, Mexicans have generally stuck to the tried and true, so it's still weird

By Missegg (Missegg) on Wednesday, July 21, 2004 - 03:23 am: Edit

I know some cousins in my town who named their kids Hunter and Gauge (as in a 12gauge shotgun) and my nephew has been known as Bubba ever since he was little. His name is Adrian, but he looked like a Bubba.

By Buckojackson (Buckojackson) on Wednesday, July 21, 2004 - 03:36 am: Edit

What about Adolf?

By Anglophile (Anglophile) on Wednesday, July 21, 2004 - 04:43 am: Edit

How about Hortense? I do love the name Adrian though. And Rhiannon-- celtic horse goddess-- doesn't get better than that. Why didn't mom have more imagination?! Oh the agony of having a boring name!!!

By Futurepres (Futurepres) on Wednesday, July 21, 2004 - 05:43 am: Edit

My kids will be:

Boy: Demian, Galen, Wilson

Girl: Kendel, Maggie, Katie

By Recordingwater (Recordingwater) on Wednesday, July 21, 2004 - 05:58 am: Edit

My favorite guys names are: Jordan, Jared, and Ryan.

Don't really have any favorite girls names though..

One thing that bugs me is the new craze to re-invent WEIRD spelling for names. Like Ashley has become Ashleigh or Jennifer has become Jenneefurrr or something weird like that.

By Twinkletoes696 (Twinkletoes696) on Wednesday, July 21, 2004 - 07:24 am: Edit

For guys: Matthew, Michael, William, Peter

Girls: Kaitlyn, Kallie, Sara, Alexandra, Samantha

By Jenesaispas (Jenesaispas) on Wednesday, July 21, 2004 - 07:35 am: Edit

My only child will be a girl and her name will be Margaret. Period.

By Twinkletoes696 (Twinkletoes696) on Wednesday, July 21, 2004 - 07:39 am: Edit

Will you call her Meg, Peg, or Marge? Or just Margaret?

(What if on the off chance, you have a boy?)

By Gidget (Gidget) on Wednesday, July 21, 2004 - 10:09 am: Edit

Names I Like

Boys: Caleb, Liam, Ethan, Evan or Dameon
Girls: Madison (although now I am rethinking it) Mackenzie, Grace, Aurora (I grew up in the north- Aurora Borealis- Northern lights) Keelin, Morgan, Raelin,

I do not plan to have this many kids, they are just options.

By Poison_Ivy (Poison_Ivy) on Wednesday, July 21, 2004 - 10:13 am: Edit

I honestly plan to name my first girl, Marie France and the second London.

By Jenesaispas (Jenesaispas) on Wednesday, July 21, 2004 - 10:32 am: Edit

Twinkletoes: Her name will be Margaret, and that is what she will be called. There is absolutely no chance it will be a boy, as it is destiny. So, that's that. :) And there are always "choices" if, by the infinitely small chance, we have a boy. But that's highly unlikely and contrary to the work of the Fates.

By Poison_Ivy (Poison_Ivy) on Wednesday, July 21, 2004 - 10:46 am: Edit

How could tolerate having a girl??? Auggh... I want all boys and maybe...just maybe... one girl. Girls are so b*tchy as little girls and complain. Margaret means child of light or pearl.

I hope I don't marry you! (jk!)

By Jenesaispas (Jenesaispas) on Wednesday, July 21, 2004 - 10:59 am: Edit

Well, how about this: If you have a girl, I'll take her. And if I have a boy, you can have him!

My Margaret will be cute and nice, not whiney and gross, like boys.

By Optimizerdad (Optimizerdad) on Wednesday, July 21, 2004 - 11:11 am: Edit

I knew a guy in grad school named Harder. Richard Harder. Really.

(I've often wondered just what he did to tick his parents off so much that they gave him a first name with such an unfortunate nickname. Maybe his mom went through a painful delivery...)

By Poison_Ivy (Poison_Ivy) on Wednesday, July 21, 2004 - 11:15 am: Edit

Okay!

I think black with asian mix or white with hispanics turn out so cute...

My parents wanted to name me Winnie as in Winfred. Thank God not.

By Innotof (Innotof) on Wednesday, July 21, 2004 - 12:30 pm: Edit

i knew this dude who's name was richard richardson. honestly, why would anyone do that. i also have seen alot of people have common names, but spelled wrong...like mykel, mathieu, jessika. i hate that.

By Zantedeschia (Zantedeschia) on Wednesday, July 21, 2004 - 01:46 pm: Edit

I loved that tv show.

By Crypto86 (Crypto86) on Wednesday, July 21, 2004 - 06:03 pm: Edit

I don't like the "new age" girl names at all. But I guess they are better than "Apple" or "Cocoa".

For a girl I really like Claire.

By Takiusproteus (Takiusproteus) on Wednesday, July 21, 2004 - 06:43 pm: Edit

By Magoo (Magoo) on Wednesday, July 21, 2004 - 11:28 pm: Edit

OK TRUST ME ON THIS ONE: PEOPLE WILL LOVE IT!!

i plan to name my children after pills!!

isn't that great!! :)

i'll have little baby Prozac (he'll be the depressed middle child...sounds just like Zachary...no one will no the difference)...propecia...little baby Viagra for when me and the mrs. get older :)

hmmm...what other pill names are there...claritin (i like that, its got a little sophistication in it...like claire)

ok...just thought u would appreciate that...i came up with this logic when listening to a rorster of ridiculous baby names that inspired me to say...u know what they might as well name their kids after drugs because they'll have no chance with those names...

ok im done now...hope u find the humor...its in there somewhere. :)

By Zantedeschia (Zantedeschia) on Wednesday, July 21, 2004 - 11:51 pm: Edit

Ecstasy

By Magoo (Magoo) on Thursday, July 22, 2004 - 12:24 am: Edit

OHHH...ENZYTE WILL BE A PERFECT MIDDLE NAME FOR VIAGRA

and i think Prozac could use a little Ecstasy...as a middle name of course. :)

By Ariesathena (Ariesathena) on Thursday, July 22, 2004 - 12:47 am: Edit

HappyStudent: Please do not name your daughter "Bridget." It's an utterly miserable name to have. Do not bestow that upon a child!

By Neo (Neo) on Thursday, July 22, 2004 - 01:19 am: Edit

What about Cialis?

Could be a boy...OR a girl!

By Princess_Banana (Princess_Banana) on Thursday, July 22, 2004 - 01:21 am: Edit

or Herpecin
or 'tough-acting' T'nactin

By Recordingwater (Recordingwater) on Thursday, July 22, 2004 - 01:21 am: Edit

Actually I think Gertrude is just about the worst name you could give someone, if they are not German.

Also, there is Bertha, but nobody actually names their children Bertha unless they are really cruel AND clueless.

By Recordingwater (Recordingwater) on Thursday, July 22, 2004 - 01:22 am: Edit

Also, Magoo, you could name one of them Accutane! S/he would be the acne scarred one. Or the one who had the clearest skin!

By Magoo (Magoo) on Thursday, July 22, 2004 - 01:29 am: Edit

hmmm so i have:
Viagra Enzyte Magoo
Prozac Ecstacy Magoo
Propecia A-cute-anne Magoo
Clairitin Advil Magoo

other than pills why not dedicate my children to the political process:

Philibuster Magoo
Vetonian Magoo
Incumbent Magoo

By Grace226 (Grace226) on Thursday, July 22, 2004 - 05:36 pm: Edit

By Volley17 (Volley17) on Thursday, July 22, 2004 - 06:29 pm: Edit

There was once a German couple with the last name Klaus. They named their son Santa.

Poor kid.

By Smhop (Smhop) on Thursday, July 22, 2004 - 06:57 pm: Edit

I had this crazy, funny friend who used to tell people that she was going to name her daughter Gnororeah (sp?). She would say it really quick, and people would just nod and say,... "oh, pretty". Anyway, she got a big bang out of that, andI have to admit it was pretty funny. This is the same girl who when asked what her name was would always reply "herpes, and you?" People NEVER picked up on it... We'd be in some nightclub/bar, some guys hitting on us, and thats what she'd say her name was... no one ever caught it... It was soooo funny.

Ok, end of digression--

By Magoo (Magoo) on Thursday, July 22, 2004 - 09:22 pm: Edit

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA...

the guy says: Oh. So, Herpes what are your best qualities?
your friend say: i can attach myself to people pretty easily...ok, i'll stop there...forgive me :)

By Smhop (Smhop) on Thursday, July 22, 2004 - 10:45 pm: Edit

=) She's a funny girl!
