Global Moment in Time
At 11:00 a.m. CT/12:00-noon ET, radio stations around the world will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the July 5, 1954 recording session that produced Elvis's first single, "That's All Right", by simultaneously playing that record. At Sun Studio the recording will be played and sent out via satellite. The legendary Scotty Moore, lead guitarist on that recording, will be the one to "press play" for this historic occasion.
This song is recognized as the start of Rock 'N' Roll on major airwaves.
