whats the greatest guitar solo/song of all time??

That really depends on who you ask.
A better "question" would be:
What's one of your *favorite* guitar-based songs/solos of the past fifty years?

My "favorite" keeps changing.. Right now, it's Hendrix's stuff on Axis, especially Little Wing and Bold as Love. I really like the way he plays chords, adding in those little "embellishments" by hammering and pulling off certain notes. I'm terrible at hearing all the notes though, so its really hard for me to play his songs.

My favorite stuff (at the moment) to play include some of John Mayer's work. The solos he regularly pulls on Covered in Rain are well worth the price of admission.
