The www.hungersite.com: Give Free Food to hungry people in the world. Your daily clicks make it happen.

You also may finds free way of giving, if your cause is breast cancer, or rainforest or animal rescue or child health.

Visit http://www.thehungersite.com to give food to the hungry with just a click -- every day and at no cost to you.

HOW IT WORKS

When you click the "Give Free Food" button (once a day per person) at http://www.thehungersite.com, this simple action gives over a cup of fortified food to a hungry person.

It costs you nothing. Funding is paid by site sponsors and food is distributed by two leading nonprofit hunger relief organizations: Mercy Corps and America's Second Harvest.

The number of people who click each day determines the amount of food that goes to the hungry, so please forward this message along.

WHY CLICK?

There is enough food in the world for every man, woman and child. Yet an estimated one billion of the world's people live in poverty and face chronic hunger. 24,000 die daily. 75% of them are children under age five.

A "click to give" costs nothing but a few seconds of your time, and gives help and hope to a person in desperate need.

Goodchocolate why do you think it is silly?

By Jlq3d3 (Jlq3d3) on Friday, June 25, 2004 - 08:11 pm: Edit

why not just give the food with out us clicking? It seems very silly for such an important cause.

There's also:

http://www.stopthehunger.com

You give 3.5 cups of food every day you click.

And to Jlg3d3, yes, it would be nice if the companies gave the food for free, but until they do, CLICK ANYWAY.

I find it sad that this thread has 8 hits, 2 of them argumentative, and the Mary-Kate thread has 20.

What is wrong with this world?

I was named after a character in the lion king. I like to raise money for starving kids. I’m known for my ignorance and short term thinking. My life goal is to raise enough money to feed a whole continent lunch for a day. Even though they’ll be hungry a few hours later….my life will be complete. Who am I?

I love this site! It's my BEST friend. It's even my homepage. That way, I am clicking it constantly!

But I like www.therainforestsite.com better. I like preserving 11.4 sq. feet. Even though it's small cross-sectionally, it's a lot of volume... at least I hope.

Goodchocolate why do you think it is silly?

Because I actually bothered to read the summary, and realized it's a joke/scam:

When you click the "Give Free Food" button (once a day per person) at http://www.thehungersite.com, this simple action gives over a cup of fortified food to a hungry person.

C'mon people, how can you not think this is silly :P!

By Idiias (Idiias) on Wednesday, June 30, 2004 - 06:08 pm: Edit

oh i definetely do.

By Jenesaispas (Jenesaispas) on Wednesday, June 30, 2004 - 06:11 pm: Edit

Even if there's a large chance that it's a scam, there is a small chance that it isn't. And, come on now. How hard is it to click the f'ing button once a day?

Oh yeah, and here's a link that may help to clarify the ambiguous motives of the site...
