It's 90 degrees here in London at the moment! I'm not used to this kind of heat! How hot is it where you are?

By Demingy (Demingy) on Tuesday, June 08, 2004 - 12:01 pm: Edit
Yesterday it was a horrific 98% (beat the record back in the 1800s of 97). Now it is going to be a "cool" 89%.
Man I've got to move out of Colorado.
By English_Girl (English_Girl) on Tuesday, June 08, 2004 - 12:05 pm: Edit
Lol. Last summer it was over 100 here. That was a record. I have to say all this heat is better than the usual rain though!

Lol, I don't suppose you get much of that in California! Try living here
By Mparking (Mparking) on Tuesday, June 08, 2004 - 01:06 pm: Edit
90 degrees in London? That's nothing. Houston stays in the 90's during the summer! And it's humid too!
By English_Girl (English_Girl) on Tuesday, June 08, 2004 - 01:13 pm: Edit
90 degrees is a lot here! It's the hottest day of the year so far. Last summer was much hotter, but normally we have rubbish weather. I'm happy, I like the summer! It was too hot to sleep last night though!

SoCal can very well go above 100's (as it has been for the past summers of my 17 years living here).. occasionally, we may have "june gloom"
By Chasgoose (Chasgoose) on Wednesday, June 09, 2004 - 01:52 am: Edit
Today it was 105 degrees and we were all saying how nice it was compared to our recent weekend of 110+ temperatures. God I love Phoenix!
By Gianscolere (Gianscolere) on Wednesday, June 09, 2004 - 03:05 am: Edit
90s at last in chicago. i usually don't like this kind of weather but after a year of exposure to the severe cold + getting really sick for a week during winter, i'm liking it more and more. i prefer for the temp to be in the 60s-70s range.
By Allena (Allena) on Wednesday, June 09, 2004 - 03:56 am: Edit
As others have said, today was a nice cool day in SoCal. However one of the things you learnif you live out here is just how dynamic our weather can be. If can rain for a week solid, and then you wake up and it's 100 outside with not a cloud in the sky. Come late July into August, we usually have a few days (I live a bit North of LA, and it's actually a bit hotter up here) that are approaching 110. Not fun!
By Demingy (Demingy) on Wednesday, June 09, 2004 - 11:44 am: Edit
Talk about dynamic weather....in Colorado yesterday we had a high in the upper 80's with no clouds, then around 8:00pm it was in the mid 70's and we had flash flooding. It's supposed to be similar today but the storms are supposed to start a little earlier.
By Taru (Taru) on Wednesday, June 09, 2004 - 03:26 pm: Edit
Okay, today it's about two million degrees here in MA. And humid.

We're actually pretty cool down here in Central Texas for the middle of June (low 90's). To top it off, it's flooding. All right!!!

I live in LA, and it is about 73. It does not get hot that often in LA even in the Summer. Maybe like 8 days in the 90s all summer. Most are 70s and 80s and low humidity.
By Aussie_Girl (Aussie_Girl) on Wednesday, June 23, 2004 - 03:58 am: Edit

By Momof1 (Momof1) on Wednesday, June 23, 2004 - 04:25 am: Edit
North Pole, Alaska (really) where it is getting up to 85 degrees in the day and...oh, that's right, IT'S ALL DAY, ALL THE TIME! I want to go back to where it's warm and dark in the summer at this time of night. Here it is warm and light or cold and dark, but never warm and dark or cold and light. Enjoy your day, you'll never be younger than you are right now. :-)

I'm in Vegas and right now we're just getting started in the early 100s! Luckily I won't be here for the dead of summer when we get into the 120s...
By Allena (Allena) on Wednesday, June 23, 2004 - 05:17 pm: Edit
It's interesting about Los Angeles... The city itself does not get that warm, but it gets incredably hot in the surrounding communities. I live about 40-50 miles out of the city, and we typically in the low hundreds and very high 90's from mid July till the end of August.
By Jlq3d3 (Jlq3d3) on Wednesday, June 23, 2004 - 05:41 pm: Edit
Los Angeles barly ever gets hot. But inland suberbs do get hot because they are far from the ocean

It was a gorgeous day in MN 75-80 prolly except the weather got really weird this afternoon. The wind picked up all of a sudden an toppled over a few trampolines, I was sure some of the trees in my backyard were going to break.
