Is it normal to be bored your first few weeks in college? I've been here since saturday, classes started yesterday but I have nothing to do. Fridays I only have a class 8-9 and then I'll have nothing to do the rest of the day, right before a 3 day weekend starts...In H.S. I was always occupied with something. Here, I've made friends, yeah, yeah, and done all my minor homework and studying already for tuesday, but I am really, really, really, really......BORED

why don't you take your new friends and go PLAY?

You seem to have a lot of free time. Have you ever considered taking up drinking as a hobby?

It will pick up, trust me. The first 2 weeks of the semester are usually boring as people adjust their schedules and pick up/drop classes. Take the earlier suggestion and start drinking it makes it very fun.

ah shut up...who are you to stereotype fratboys? I'm definetely going to rush if things don't pick up around here.

I just plugged in my roomates PS2, but his games suck so I think I might join Xbox club if I'm still bored in a few weeks.

And last night I went to the hypnotist and went on stage. It was sweet. All of a sudden you're imagining yourself going down a long, dark escalator...and then 2 hours later you wake up with a wet tshirt and all these people trying to explain what you did and asking if you remembered anything. lol my roomate was drunk somewhere, but I told him about it...

Idiias I'm extremely bored too. I'm stuck here on this Friday night and most of this labor day weekend. Might go to downtown Newport or Providence tomorrow if I get a ride. Not a drinker or a clubber so I'm really blah.

All I do is go online and look at clothes. Hell I still go to these boards. I like to take pictures though, the view is always beautiful.

Blah. I feel the bordem. There is a very good reason OU is one of the top five party schools in the country. It seems that the crowd I've been thrown into drinks...every night. Luckily, they won't be in my room tonight. But that still leaves the problem of bordem. At least I could sit and think amusing things about them last night...

ATTN PLEASE: Please note, this thread was started on my second day of school and was bumped up for Sfbbgurl, recently, who was having the same problem with boredom.
