I was given my 2nd to last choice on my housing preference form ( Dickinson Community at Suny Binghamton) as well as being stuck with 2 roommates in a room fit to accomodate 2 people altogether. I will probably be in a bunk bed and sharing closet space etc.. I will probably be living out of a suitcase. Would you move right away or stick it out and try not to make it obvious to your roommates that your not happy?

Did you ever think that your roommates might not be too happy about the situation either? I would stick it out and make the best of the situation. If another room opens up (a big IF), then go for it. It's probably not a good idea to start out on the wrong foot with your roommates since you will likely be together all year.

I know room space might be a little tough...but you should try to work it out with your roommates. In fact, it might not turn out so bad. I know from experience that most dorms cannot accommodate room switchings so most of the time you are stuck. Good Luck!

Maybe you'll get close to your roommates. Maybe you'll become best of friends with them. Maybe one day you'll all huddle in one bed together on a winter's night when the electricity is out. You'll feel a warm hand reaching for your naughty areas. "What was that?" you ask, knowing exactly what it is. A shy but playful giggle is the only response.
Enjoy your triple.

As long as they aren't charging you the rent of a double, take lemons and make lemonade as best you can!

yeah, thats what happens when you get trippled.. at my school if you are in a triple you get back like 50 dollars a week or something like that as a refund.

I got stuck in a triple last year as a freshman. I was really bummed out about it ut amazingly I ended up loving it!!! We had no space, the room was always a mess but we didnt care and had a great time. I did most of my work in the library and that worked out great.

All freshman at my school have a triple, but my roomies seem awesome, and I'm delighted with the whole situation...
