I recently requested Collegeboard to send my ap scores to my college (I was accepted from waiting list). How long does it take for the college to receive the scores?

I requested scores be sent to my college during the exams. I received the scores two weeks ago and then received a letter from school, this past Fri., telling me they'd applied the credits. The only problem, was that this caused them to drop my freshman writing class and I had to find another class to take. So it was a good news/bad news thing. I was also surprised that last years AP US counted for 6 elective hours and not my social studies core requirement.
