I was just looking at what my schedule might look like next year (freshman at USC), and it seems kinda easy.
i mean, ill have class from 8-12 with an hour break in between every day. so thats only like 3 hours/day, 5 days a week.
that's 16 "units" (that's the same as credits, right?)
seems kinda easy, but i guess ill have a crap load of homework to do anyways.
just wondering what the rest of you guys have to put up with

Yeah thats actually sounds kind of heavy to me, since 12 units is usually full time (but we're on quarters) so.... College isn't high school, so don't think that because you don't have clas all day you don't have work to do. Tons of reading, papers, etc.

I got anywhere from 2-5 hours of class a day, and in class for a total of 18 hours each week. (17 credits). Nothing before 9 am!

17 credit hours.
I essentially have class from 5-8PM Monday and
9am-10pm (one two hour break) Tuesday and Thurdsday.
I didn't plan that.

To some extent, it depends on what those courses are as some require far more out of class work than others. Interesting point made by university professor at UIUC orientation when we attended: most students who are applying themselves will likely spend an average of 1 1/2 hours out of class studying for every one hour in per week although likely more in early first semester until you get the routine down, and "if you are in engineering, you can double or tripple that."
